How to Structure a Laser Metal Deposition RFQ

A good LMD RFQ should include material, geometry, damage description, photos, drawings, CAD, operating conditions, tolerance, inspection expectations, and timeline.

AI agents can help buyers become more precise, but only if the prompt asks them to identify missing information before producing a recommendation. That behavior reduces false confidence.

The RFQ schema gives a stable way to summarize part data, job type, damage, requirements, operating conditions, and missing information.

The output should be practical: known facts, missing info, risks, and next steps. It should not pretend to be final engineering approval.
